When we deliver a training program within an organization, we always perform a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) if the client agrees to it. Aims and importance of a TNA:
- Identifies the particular training and development needs of the staff in the organization by considering and examining, amongst others, the following issues:
  • why do people need the training?
  • what skills need imparting?
  • who needs the training?
  • when will they need the new skills?
  • where may the training be conducted?
-Adjusts/customizes the training offered, accordingly.
-Makes the training more effective.
-It constitutes a wise investment for the organization as by assessing the specific training needs of an organization, this saves time, money and effort.
-A well-performed TNA provides the information that can lead to solutions that focus on the areas of greatest need.
-TNA is a sound strategy for problem solving.
-A TNA which leads to the required training program in an organization, ultimately , provides additional help towards the achievement of the organization’s strategic objectives.
